What I want:

I want my life to be full of color. I want the brightest colors to light my path. I want a green door and a yellow mailbox. I want my lamp to have a purple light bulb. I want music to push me around. I want the notes to urge my steps, helping me do the dishes and vacuum the halls.  I want the notes to come from the artists and from me. I want music always whispering to me, “Dance. Sing.”

I want a treehouse with a bookshelf and a two-person sleeping bag. I want a lantern to light the words on the page. I want books. Real books. Not a tablet with ePages and ePapercuts. I want REAL papercuts. I want to read poetry and hate it. I want a rope ladder to climb into my treehouse. I want to have sleepovers in that treehouse with my family, my kids, my grandkids. I want to have dogs that we pull up into the treehouse in a basket pulley-system.

I want to observe people. I want to come closer to the truth about us all, about human nature. Nature? Nurture? Does it matter? I want to befriend the elderly, the homeless. I want to ask them about their scars and hear their stories. I want to talk to and understand millions. I want their lives to change me. I want to change. I want to listen more than talk. I already know that.

I want my life to be present in my bones. I want you to be able to say, “She loved riding horses and playing lacrosse. She loved eating peanut butter. She loved playing basketball, look at that finger. She hated the cold and the hot but lived through both. She did not like seafood. She wrote. A lot. A blog maybe? She got migraines too. ”

I want to believe in angels and demons and ghosts and fairies and Peter Pan and Neverland. I want to reread Harry Potter every year with my family. I want them to believe in it. Put their hearts in it. I want to knock on wood and change paths when I see a black cat. I want to believe in reincarnation and talking animals.

I want to get mad and say mean things about people. I want to mean those things but have it not even matter. I want to hate things about people but love them unconditionally anyways. I want to be able to cry…hard and then get up the next morning and make others smile.

I want to never experience -45 degrees again. I want to remember Wyoming with fondness and a little pity and awe. I want to hate football and not care because others love it and I can share with them.

I want to go the extra mile but have it go unnoticed. I want to create light and life. I want to have nothing left at the end of my life. I want to die at 73. 75 at the latest unless there is something greater here than what awaits us all. I want to be sure in this life and not wait until the next. I want to hear, “Well done thou good and faithful servant.”

I want to not give a damn and I want people to not care that I don’t care. I don’t care. Stop caring. Let me have my purple lights, green door and yellow mailbox. I want people to mind their own business but notice when someone needs a hand. These are a few of the things I want.

Every time I hear his voice I get goosebumps...

Who do you think I'm talking about?

I'll start from the beginning.
Back problems. They're the junk. SUPER AWESOME. Yeah! *notreallythatwascompletebullshit* Sorry for the profanity...today just wasn't too good. So my back hurt yesterday (from past injury I won't get into here) but by the time I went to lacrosse it was feeling alright. (My stomach on the other hand is a whole 'nother story) I thought I was good, working out the issues in my back and I'd be fine.

WRONG-O. I got back from practice and my back was feeling none too agreeable.

So I stretched and heated and iced and all that jazz (Stupid me forgot that a thing called advil exists...cool) But I still was woken up by the pain in my lower back. AWESOME. No change this morning when I got up. So I got out of bed for like 45 minutes to eat breakfast read some Alma, ice and heat some more. Yeah...the whole out of bed thing wasn't working for me.

SO back to bed I went. I was bed ridden today. I got up to go to the bathroom, eat, get ice/heat, and that's pretty much it. I literally have been out of bed for maybe 2 hours today. Because it just hurt too badly to stand..........and be all vertical and stuff....gravity is pretty freaking mean to me.

SO ANYWAY...back to the voice thing. Naturally I spent a junk ton of time on my computer on the Internet...lots of Pinterest and Youtube and Netflix. So I meandered from show to show on Netflix until I came upon Bloomberg Game Changers J.K. Rowling Revealed. Since I love me some HP I hooked that shiz up. (haha being bed ridden has muddled my brain)

I watched it and it featured Jim Dale who reads the HP series. GOSH I LOVE THAT MAN. I seriously just die every time I hear him. It takes me back to the car rides where we would put in the tape and listen to HP. He is sOOOOoooOoOoooOOooO good. Goosebumps I say!

Check this out:

In case you actually looked at that, I'll tell you why I love Stephen Fry as well.

Reasons Kylee Loves Stephen Fry:
  1. This
  2. Jeeves and Wooster
  3. Sherlock Holmes
I could go on...but I think that will do.

Wow this post is all over the place. Eh...whatcha gunna do? I'll try and not post next time I'm bed ridden and unable to stand up for fear of being consumed by blindingly awful pain.

And on that note, I bid you adieu!

Things I Know to Be True

Folks, there are very few things I know to be absolutely true.

Here are some of them.

  1. 5 Hour Energy and Hot Chocolate go right through me. Drink it and 8-10 minutes later I've gotta pee
  2. Harry Potter brightens even the worst of semesters
  3. God answers my prayers
  4. Washing dishes by hand is the best therapy
  5. Laying on the floor staring at the ceiling fuels the creative genius inside
  6. Ditto for long drives
  7. My left ring finger will never, ever be truly straight again
  8. Elf is a classic Christmas movie

There are probably more things that I know to be absolutely, irrefutably true. But for now. There are my top 8.

Harry Potter, The Later Years

I think, as I am sure thousands and thousands of others including JK Rowling have also thought, that she should write another book of Harry Potter in his later years.

In this book I think that he should be a teacher at Hogwarts. It would be fantastic. JK Rowling would have to come up with another plot since Voldemort has obviously been defeated. It could be great if its done right.

It is entirely possible that she has already said something about this and that there is already a plan or she has turned it down, but I don't look for that junk on the internet. So I have no idea.

I think she should do it. Not now, maybe not even in the next 10 years. But someday.
